What is this Weiss Thursday? Weiss Thursday started out as a joke in my personal Live Journal. For a while, Marine Entertainment produced new pictures
of the Weiss seiyuu every Thursday. To entertain my friends (and myself) I would post them in my journal and make commentary.
People enjoyed it enough to warrant its own Live Journal. Unfortunately, a busy schedule kept me from updating on Thursdays
properly. To solve that, here is WT the website. Thursdays shall live on in our hearts, always. *plays TAPS*
Do you hate Weiss Kreuz and/or the seiyuu? No, no no no no no. Mock them, yes I do - but it's all out of love. This is not an anti-Weiss site.
Where do the pics come from and may I use them on my site? All pictures have been supplied by friends of mine - so, I really
don't know where most of them came from. Some pictures featured on
Weiss Thursday have been seen many, many, many times before; some are
rather rare. But really, I don't have the authority to give rights
to pictures, so there's no point in asking. I would ask, however,
that if a picture has a specific credit attached to it, please DO NOT
take it - it wouldn't be fair to the people who so kindly lent WT
their personal pictures. Also, please, NO HOTLINKING. It kills the
website dead.
I see a picture on here, I know it is mine. I am VERY pissed off. ACK! As stated on the main page, I am truly sorry! My intent is not to rip off pictures from other people. I understand your desire to keep your website content
original. If it is absolutely clear that one of the WT photos is yours, then let us do something about it. If you're truly upset, the picture can be removed from the site. Again, please
keep in mind that I do not know the origin of all my pics; my fault, I know. So please be civil in your inquiry, as I plan to be extremely civil and understanding to you.
If at all possible, the likely solution would be to alter the given episode to include your credit with the picture; many of the jokes are dependent on the pics. That's my preferred
course of action. But if you don't want it up here, you don't want it up here.
Why are the first 9 episodes all lumped together, crappy, and make no sense? Damn...you noticed, huh? Episodes 1 - 9 were in my personal LiveJournal, never to be seen again.
They were not real, cohesive episodes and mostly featured hot-linked Marine pics. (Bad, Tey, bad.) Furthermore, they were littered
with in-jokes concerning my friends, much more so than later eps, and weren't very applicable to the website.
However, with the new host, I've managed to scrum together the episode scripts, as they were. They aren't complete - and they certainly
aren't pretty. Things turn around about Episode 7, but I still didn't think they were good enough to warrant separate pages.
I don't get some of these jokes... Because WT started in my personal journal, some in-jokes made the transfer. I apologize for that and tried
to weed out as many as I could. In the mean time, know that a lot of the obscure references were created from
feedback in the WT LJ; I tried to put in some explanatory author's notes, but out of homage to those who stuck with the spoof this long,
I leave in the little nods.
When will you update with new episodes? Most likely never. But who knows - check the Weiss Thursday Livejournal for updates.
The urge may strike me again!

It's not because I'm evil or because Yuuki thinks that by giving all you hard working people props, it'll destroy his chances for launching his own designer shoe line.
As stated before, I'm not proficient enough to give the time needed for a good links page; I mean, did you see how long it took me to get this up in the state it's in?
Just Who are these Weiss Cats Anyway?
Chances are, if you're on this website at all, you're very familiar with the subject matter. But let's take a refresher course.
In the mid-90's, one of Japan's most prolific seiyuu (remember, that's voice actor) came up with the idea of four assassins by night, florists by day. (Still with me? Good.)
This man, Koyasu Takehito (remember, that's last names first) , started the whole Weiss universe; with the help of other voice talents Seki Tomokazu, Miki Shin'ichirou, and Yuuki Hiro,
a rather substandard yet gripping anime was created. And while this anime could have been completely forgettable, the core component of these four men struck a chord
with fangirls everywhere. Now, who knows to what Weiss-y depths the four have gone, but it is fact that there has been occasion for them to cosplay
their respective Weiss characters, prance about on stage, and try their hardest to pretend that they can dance. (Just see the Gluhen concert, eh?)
Because of that, the four are subject to websites such as this.
Naturally, one would hope you'd notice distinct differences between the real seiyuu and the four that live here. If not, I advise against mailing Koyasu hamsters.
He just wouldn't understand.
Or maybe he would.
And that would be scary.
And for what it's worth, I think Koyasu's probably pretty humble in real life; it's just funnier to make him a raging egomaniac obsessed with touching his own ass.
There are a few other faces running around as well. Sometimes the difference between seiyuu and Weiss character is blurred; sometimes those pesky Schwartz boys
show up. But besides our main characters, prepare to meet:
Tey "Ishikawa" - that's me. Fangirl supreme and general narrator. It's easier to have an MC, so that's why I show up in every episode despite the fact that this is not "Tey Thursday." The Ishikawa was an adopted moniker at the time.
Jake the Duck - my giant stuffed TY Mallard. How he got mixed up with this, I really don't know. But suffice to say, the boys are still a bit miffed that Jake has been voted
most popular and sexiest WT character.
Hideo Ishikawa - whom you might recognize from "rival" group EMU or from Miki's side group, RoST. If I were into consistency, I'd call him Ishikawa Hideo. Oh well.
He pops up from time to time because I've been reading too many doujinshi. And no, no relation in the Ishikawas there.
Visa-chan - at some point, Seki picks up a girlfriend in the series. Don't fret all Seki lovers, they have yet to even kiss....
Credit Where Credit is Due
And of course, I would not think of slapping up a website without giving nods to the most important people - those who helped create it.
